Respectful Care
for Every Stage
Our care is thoughtfully tailored for under-two and over-two children, honouring each stage of development with respect, warmth, and intention.

Infants
Under two children
Your infant is cared for in our nurturing, mixed-age learning space, set within a spacious room and gently defined by a wooden fence, with a separate entrance to the outdoors for safe and easy access

Each child is gently paired with a Key Carer before starting, helping to build trust and a secure, comforting connection. Your Key Carer supports all aspects of your child’s day — nappies, meals, and sleep — while responding thoughtfully to their individual needs and interests.

Guided by the RIE philosophy, we provide respectful, responsive care that helps children feel safe, capable, and valued. Our daily communication books keep families connected, sharing meals, sleep, and little moments from your child’s day.

Mixed-Age Learning & Key Care

For children aged 2–5 years, allowing them to stay with familiar teachers and friends as they grow. This continuity supports secure relationships and a strong sense of belonging.
Children learn naturally from one another — younger children observe and learn, while older children gain confidence as caring role models. Each child is paired with a Key Carer before starting, ensuring a trusted connection from day one

Play-led Learning

We thoughtfully plan and assess each child’s interests, providing learning experiences that support and extend their curiosity. We also consider group interests, helping children learn to work together, share ideas, and engage in meaningful discussions.
Children’s learning is documented through learning stories and shared on Storypark, where families are invited to read, celebrate, and comment on their child’s learning journey
Transition to School & Learning Beyond the Centre

From around four years of age, children become part of our Tuatara Club, where we gently support their transition to school. Through age-appropriate experiences, we help children build confidence, independence, and a love of learning, giving them a positive taste of what school life may look like.
Learning also extends beyond our centre. We regularly enjoy local walks to One Tree Hill, making the most of our natural surroundings. These outings support children’s curiosity, wellbeing, and connection with the wider community as part of their learning journey
