Centre Director
Lavinia
Lavinia is a New Zealand–trained, qualified, and registered early childhood teacher, holding a Graduate Diploma of Teaching (ECE). She has been working with children since 2014 and is deeply passionate about supporting children during their early years.
Originally from China, Lavinia has called New Zealand home for the past 12 years. She is inspired by the RIE philosophy, which guides her respectful, child-centred approach and belief in children as capable and confident learners.
As a mother herself, Lavinia understands the trust families place in early childhood educators. She believes children should feel deeply loved, safe, and supported while away from their parents. Building strong partnerships with families is central to her philosophy

Camilla
Camilla comes from China and have been living in New Zealand for about nine years. She loves this open-minded, free and inclusive country for its warmth care and respect among people.
Working with young children is always a passion of her. She likes o get along with children. Camilla graduated from NZTC in 2024 with a Graduate Diploma of Teaching (ECE). Camilla joined SuperKidz in 2023 as a student teacher and became a permanent teacher after graduation.
In her spare time, Camilla likes painting, paper cutting , doing handcrafting, listening to music and watching movies.

Ivy
Ivy Xu is originally from China and has been living in New Zealand for the past 11 years. She is a proud mother to her four-year-old daughter, Ella, and enjoys spending quality family time together, especially travelling.
Ivy is a fully registered teacher and a graduate of the University of Auckland. She highly values the diversity children bring to early childhood settings, including their cultural heritage, individual strengths and challenges, working theories, and dispositions.
Inspired by the RIE philosophy, Ivy believes in seeing children as capable learners and building respectful, responsive relationships.
She strongly believes that meaningful relationships between teachers, children, and families are at the heart of quality early childhood education.
Ivy advocates for inclusive pedagogy that empowers all children and families to feel heard, respected, and actively engaged in their learning journey.

Imelda
Imelda Joined SuperKidz since 2020.
New Zealand is Imelda’s second home away from Indonesia. She has been living in New Zealand for more than 17 years.
Imelda started her ECE journey as a volunteering teacher in 2017 and started working as unqualified teacher in 2018.
Imelda is a proud mother of two children and a grandma. Her goal as a teacher is to provide children with a rich environment where they feel secure to explore, initiate learning, and feel free to express themselves

Indunimi
Indu is currently a first-year student in the Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) programme.
Originally from Sri Lanka, Indu moved to Aotearoa in 2019 and have since lived in both Blenheim and Invercargill. She is a proud mother of two wonderful boys, aged 4 and 9.
Her professional background includes working as an English Language Teacher for 9 years overseas, a reliever, after-school care supervisor, and Educational Support Worker with the Ministry of Education in Aotearoa. These roles have deepened her passion for supporting the learning and development of Tamariki.
Indu has a strong appreciation for the outdoors and enjoy spending time with her whānau going for long walks and hikes.
